Melissa Yoak’s career in the counseling field began over 30 years ago and includes experience in both community agencies and private practice. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Akron and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Malone University. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor through the Ohio CSWMFT Board, Melissa’s focus includes couples and family therapy, helping individuals with anxiety, depression, parenting (all stages), pastors and ministry leaders, and life adjustments. Melissa has been a therapist with DaySpring for 22 years becoming the Director in 2008, and in 2013 opening DaySpring's second location in Stow. Because Melissa is passionate about the impact counseling has on generations, she especially has a heart to help families and couples improve their connection and communication in her work. Melissa is married and the mother of three teens. Both she and her husband have been involved in ministry for over 15 years including church ministry and working with teens through Christian classical education programs. |
